Fidlar at Gorilla, Manchester 07.07.2025
I’ve been very lucky this year to shoot a lot of my favourite bands. Most of them though are “legacy” bands, like those I listened to in my teenage years for example.
Fidlar, though, are different. I bloody love Fidlar. And I listen to them loads, even now.
So seeing they were playing at Gorilla this week, I had to head down with my camera…

Fidlar shows are renowned for getting crazy. The band themselves give 100% every time, bringing that American skate-punk wherever they go. So I was prepped with my flash when Zac Carper, the frontman, took to the waves:

The good/bad thing about Gorilla is that there’s no photo pit. Bad, because at a rowdy gig like this you WILL have crowdsurfers landing on your head. Good, because at a rowdy gig like this, you’re in the middle of the mosh pit instead and – for an old punk like me – it’s fucking brilliant.
I knew the chance of crowdsurfing was close to 100%, so I made sure I was ready with the flash again and snapped the hell out of anyone who went up!

(There’s more fan shots here – too many for one blog!)
The band were also hanging out before/after the show, talking to fans. IG was lit up with fans sharing their stories, and Reddit had lots of posts too. It’s clear that Fidlar are a band that care about their fans. And care about putting on an amazing show everywhere too.
I’m glad I had this one in the diary, and it lived up my (already high) expectations for sure. If Fidlar are touring near you – I’m lucky to have seen Fidlar at Gorilla, Manchester – make sure you get there. Everyone should see Fidlar live once in their life!
