2025 in photography: Tree Music at The Strines Nightingale in Marple, Spring ’25
Last year was a big one for me: as a professional photographer in the northwest, it’s never dull. And in 2025 I was able to tick so many boxes, professionally and personally, in a part of the UK that is never dull!
Corporate Photography
I did loads of corprorate photography in Manchester, Liverpool, Stockport and beyond. Boosted by the Meet New Mills project, I also shot over 50 headshots in 2025, and also added real estate photography and project development photography to my portfolio: visiting multiple sites and tracking progress of new businesses, too.
There was also plenty of branding photography going on too – great to work with small, independent, local businesses like my own.
Weddings
As well as shooting weddings across Stockport, Liverpool, Manchester and beyond, 2025 saw me finally officially become a Marple wedding photographer! Shooting at the pictureesque Roman Lakes in Marple, a lovely day was had next to the lakes, in perfect weather. I also shot weddings in Stockport, the Wirral, Cheshire and Castleton. I don’t shoot too many weddings per year – but the ones I shot this year were great days to be a part of.
Sports Photography
In 2025 I wantd to expand my horixons as a Sports Photographer, and I did that by branching out from just football; ice hockey and wrestling photography were both added to the portfolio in this year. On the football front, I shot at Old Trafford for the first time which was a personal highlight.
Events Photography
It was a very busy year as an Events Photographer in Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool and the North. Working with one of my favourite clients, the Insurance Institute of Manchester, across the year saw a variety of events snapped. From networking evenings to formal dinners – via a charity fashion show! – IIM kept me busy. There were also events for universities, awards evenings for Stockport’s largest childcare company, and opening nights of the fantastic New Mills Market Hall. I was also privileged to work with the iconic Liverpool Biennial across the summer.
Music Photography
As a music photographer in Manchester, Stockport and Liverpool: 2025 was a BUMPER year! I shot so many of my very favourite bands, ticking some off the bucket list – and got shots good enough to start selling music prints of Deftones, Fontaines DC, Pulp and more. Shooting Pixies, The Hives, Osees were all huge moments for me; shooting Deftones in a rainstorm is a career highlight; and to see out the year shooting Bill Ryder-Jones again was the perfect finale for 2025.
