What better way to spend a May Bank Holiday Monday than in the woods at the pub? The Strines Nightingale , the area’s best pub by a mile, is no stranger to events (and I’m no stranger to shooting them).

Local International DJ Andy Votel and friends Ash Kennerley, Boney Votel, Stan Chow et al., took to the woods for their latest installment of Tree Music. It’s an eclectic event to say the least, with a loose thread of nature tying it altogether. There are bee experts, bird quizzes, literature readings, live drawing, musical performances and far-flung music to segue between it all.

It’s dead good. Long live Tree Music.
