For the Medical Society at Keele University, it’s tradition to celebrate being halfway through their degree with a fancy ball. And why not?! 2 and a half years in, the students (the junior doctors of the near-future) have certainly earned a chance to let their hair down. And for this year’s celebrants, they really dialled up the style.

The students were dressed to the nines as they arrived at the wonderful Manchester Hall , a former Freemason’s hall with excellent views across the Spinningfields area of the city. The rooms were kitted out beautifully with lots of stars in the decor, perfect for these young students.

The Medical Society celebrated their progress so far with a number of awards, some tongue-in-cheek, before hitting the dancefloor. At this point a shout-out is needed to DJ Kev Williams – I’ve seen a lot of DJs in my times at weddings and celebrations but the energy from Kev was unreal! His vibes and ear for a tune, as well as his lasers and strobes, made for some excellent dancefloor photographs for me – a perfect end to the evening.
