The Insurance Institute of Manchester’s Annual Dinner, one of my yearly highlights shooting events photography in Manchester

Living in Stockport means I’m next door to one of the biggest cities in the UK, meaning there’s no shortage of Events Photography in Manchester that I get to shoot. One of my very favourite clients is the Insurance Institute of Manchester, who hold regular events throughout the year.

This year their flagship event, their Annual Dinner, was held at the iconic Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester city centre.

It was my first time shooting in there – and got a shock when seeing how big the ballroom actually is!

Seating hundreds of people, it’s a finally tuned operation – staff going everywhere between kitchen and tables and onwards. Very glad I don’t have to roganise it, just turn up and take photos!

There wre special guests for this black-tie event too. The Toastmaster was the Blind Poet Dave Steele; Big Bandeoke (karaoke with a live, incredibly talented band) to finish the night; and laughs provided by (Tom Holland’s dad) Dominic Holland too.

All in all, another fantastic IIM bash, all raising loads of money for the worthy visually-impaired charity, Henshaws once again.
