Party time! Manchester event photography by Adam Edwards
It’s been a busy few weeks recently, with most of June taken up – the football season finally ended but after a brief break I was working every day again! It’s the time of the year when there are loads of events going on – celebrations, annual dinners, awards evenings etc. So sports mode was off and I was back to doing loads of Manchester event photography. It’s a nice change of pace – although still a very fast pace! – which gives me the chance to meet loads of new people, and the events are always nice, positive events too. Plus – there’s always free food. I’m there.

First up was the charity fashion show, Style In The City 2026, for the Insurance Institute of Manchester (IIM). This was my second year shooting the event, and third year working with IIM, and I absolutely love it! The event raises loads of money for a particular charity (this year it’s The UK Sepsis Trust), the guests are in great spirits, the fashion show highlights ethical or charitable clothing, and the insurance industry even provides a few of the amateur models on the catwalk! It’s great fun, held at the classic Midland Hotel in Manchester – one of the highlights of my working summer, for sure.

The next evening was more Manchester event photography, this time at the iconic Manchester Deansgate Hotel (that really tall former-Hilton!). The evening was to bring together a community of patients of Dr Tamer, a surgeon specialising in life-changing gastric sleeve surgery. It was inspiring to hear patients give speeches about how much their lives had been positively affected, and see people come together to share stories and support. Plus there was a DJ which gives me a chance to do the fun dancefloor photos everyone loves!
More event photography on the way as per – some in Stockport and Liverpool too. Busy summer and then football will be back again!
