Goodness Marketing: Meet Karen, the guru behind Marple’s wholesome, productive and collaborative marketing hub..

Karen from Goodness Marketing

Name of business:

Goodness Marketing

Where did the name come from?

Because it’s the opposite of the mainstream, corporate tactics and approaches that people think they should follow for marketing.  It’s marketing that fees good, does good, and gets good results.  It’s for small businesses with big hearts!

What do you offer?

I offer marketing consultancy, strategy, support and networking.  I also run The Do Crew – for small businesses that know they need to do marketing but never actually get around to it!  It’s accountability and a wonderful support group, at an accessible price.

How many people are in your team?

It’s just me, though my dog Betsy is my official Barketing Assistant!  I also collaborate with loads of amazing people on different projects too.

How long have you been open?

Goodness Marketing is now 7 years old, but I worked in corporate marketing for around 15 years before that.

Are you from Marple?

I’m originally from Cape Town in South Africa!  I moved to London, then Manchester, and as we wanted to move out of the city we found Marple and knew right away it was perfect for us.  I’ve lived here for 11 years now.

What do you like about having your business in Marple/living in Marple?

I love so much about Marple!  The people especially, it’s full of wonderful people.  I love being close to the Peak District and Manchester too, and I love the rural idyll we have here.

Is there anything exciting going on at the moment?

There’s loads of useful things on my website, and I have a weekly newsletter people can sign up to for free tips & tricks!
