Nina’s Nursery Awards 2025

I love working with local businesses. Since rocking up in Stockport, I’ve made a real effort to connect with local businesses wherever I can. It was great then to be asked by the team behind Nina’s Nursery, local childcare behemoth, to shoot their 2025 big do.

The setting was a Friday evening at Bramhall Golf Club, right in the middle of the recent heatwave. The golf club is lovely, really aesthetically-pleasing and impressive.

The occasion was Nina’s Nursery Awards 2025, to celebrate the staff for another year of going above and beyond to look after the hundreds of children in their care.

Everyone was dressed up and, happily, enjoyed their entrance Prosecco on arrival. The company was much bigger than I realised; I thought there were only 2 Nina’s Nursery sites, but there’s around 7 across the region. That meant we had about 80 guests all about to be celebrated and have a great evening.

There were certain awards to highlight those that have really gone beyond the job description this year. The highlight was a winner not being there in person but picking their award up via Facetime!

After the awards, and the buffet, the real fun could start – party time! It was a DJ they’d used before so he knew what to play to get everyone up and dancing. As a photographer this is a great time to shoot – the pressure is essentially off and you can have fun with the photos. Using certain flash settings and a wide focus, you can have some fun with the photos that result in these:
