Working with local businesses like Train With Adby is one of the best parts of the job

One of the best parts about being a small, indpendent business, is getting to choose which jobs I actually accept or not. It allows me the freedom to work with similar people, and working with local businesses – small, independent ones like mine – is the best bit.

Train With Adby is a personal training gym on the edge of Marple, run by brothers Jon and Eddy. We worked together last year (making photos that you can see across their website), and the guys wanted to refresh their images this year – to showcase new staff, new clients, and new gym equipment.

As a small independent business, Jon and Eddy know that they’re not only selling personal training, but selling themselves too – their interactions with their clients, how they represent the business, etc.

The brief for the job was simple – capture how Jon & Eddy (and their new member of staff) interact with their clients, and show off the personal service that they offer.

With the help of some actual sunlight coming through the windows, it was easy to catch this – the staff are all genuinely invested in their clients’ progress, and their day to day lives too.

(Also for me, working with small local businesses like this is the closest I come to the inside of a gym!)
